Now Hiring — Summer Camp 2026

Who says kids should have all the fun?

Join The Clubhouse Crew for the best summer. We're hiring Lead Playguides for summer camp — small groups, themed weeks, foam pit afternoons, fairy houses in the garden, crafts with real glue and real glitter.

Play. Connect. Grow.

$17–22/hr · June 8 – August 21 · Hiring through mid-May

"We all have those core memories from childhood — and the people who shaped them. Imagine being that person for a group of kids."

What this job actually is.

As a Lead Playguide, you'll run a themed week of camp for a small group of kids ages 3–12. Each week has a concept — Top Chef Kids, Survivor: Clubhouse Island, Code Breakers, International Travelers, Movement & Mindset — and you'll bring it to life.

We provide the structure: the theme, the weekly arc, the daily schedule, and the activities. You bring the judgment. The best guides read the room. If a board game isn't landing, you pivot to a nature walk or charades. If the kids are buzzing, you channel that energy into the relay you had planned for later. The schedule is the plan — the goal is fun, connection, and a day they'll ask to come back to.

A typical day.

  • 9:00 AMKids arrive. Drop-off, welcome circle, into the first block.

  • 2:30–4:00 PMExtended day. Small-group play continues for kids whose families signed up. Optional for staff — grab the hours if you want them.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM. Extended day staff until 4:00 PM.

Camp runs: June 8 – August 21 (11 themed weeks).

Commitment: Flexible. Tell us which weeks work — the more, the better.

Who we're looking for.

Everything we do at The Clubhouse sits on three words: Play. Connect. Grow. That's what we promise families. It's also what we look for in every guide we hire.

Playguides aren't supervisors. They're in the game of capture-the-flag. At the table painting with the kids. On their knees in the garden hunting worms. When the guide is bought in, the kids are bought in — and the day runs itself.

  • Someone who plays. Real energy. The kind that makes a six-year-old decide you're the best grown-up they've ever met.
  • Someone who connects. With the quiet kids and the loud ones. With families at pickup. With the rest of the crew.
  • Someone who stays calm when a kid is struggling. Who doesn't take a meltdown personally — because it's a child having a tough moment, not a problem to fix.
  • Someone who shows up on time, excited, and full of ideas for the best day.
  • Someone who loves this work. That's the real filter.
  • Above all else — someone who is exactly where they want to be. Supporting kids. Having fun. Reliving their own favorite childhood memories by creating them for the next generation.

A specific degree isn't required. Real experience with kids, a calm presence, and a genuine love for this work — those are.

Teachers, paras, college students, nannies, camp alumni, retired educators, stay-at-home parents returning to work — if this sounds like you, we want to meet you.

What you'll need.

  • 18 or older
  • Real experience working with kids ages 3–12
  • Comfortable leading a small group independently
  • CPR/First Aid certified by June 1 we cover the cost if you need to certify
  • Able to pass PA clearances: State Police, Child Abuse History, FBI fingerprint we'll walk you through the process; fees reimbursed after 60 days of employment
  • Physically able to get on the floor, move quickly, and lift 30 lbs

What you'll get.

  • $17–22/hr, based on experience
  • Extended hours available at the same rate
  • Paid training before camp starts
  • CPR/First Aid certification covered
  • PA clearance fees reimbursed after 60 days
  • School-year hours available for the right fit
  • Trust in your judgment — you lead the day as it unfolds
  • A team that has your back
  • Led by a founder with 13+ years in classrooms and an M.S. in School Psychology

Ready to be that person?

The application below takes about 10 minutes. We're reviewing on a rolling basis and hiring through mid-May — earlier is better.

About you
Are you 18+?*

Not resume words. Your friend's words.

The role
Which role are you applying for?*

Days and times. Be specific.

For Lead Playguides: which camp weeks can you commit to?

Check all the weeks you can commit to M–F. The more, the better.

Partial weeks, tentative conflicts, "I could do more if needed" — anything that helps us plan.

When can you start?*
Experience

Formal and informal. Jobs, volunteer work, younger siblings, nieces/nephews, camp, teaching, coaching. The more specific, the better — names, ages, what you did.

There are a lot of summer jobs. What drew you to this one?

Big or small. We want to hear what matters to you.

No "right" answer. We want to see how you think and feel in those moments.

Whether from babysitting, family holidays, cousins, parties, or camp — what are some of your favorite ways to take the lead and become the kids' favorite?

Soccer, basketball, sewing, dance, painting, music, gardening, cooking, chess, sign language — anything you love that you'd love to teach or share. We weave guide passions into the weeks when we can.

Camps, games, activities, traditions — whatever comes to mind. We build a lot of camp around the things kids love forever.

Where you go, year, major.

Paste a link (LinkedIn, Google Drive, Dropbox, personal site). No link? Skip it — we'll ask at interview.

A few logistics
Comfortable with the less-glamorous parts — messes, spills, bathroom help, cleanup?*
Can you lift 30 lbs, get on the floor to play, and move around all day?*
CPR/First Aid certification?*
Safety & clearances

These questions are required by PA childcare regulations. All answers stay confidential and are reviewed only by Clubhouse leadership.

Ever convicted of a felony?*
Currently under any open criminal or civil investigation?*
Ever been the subject of a child abuse or neglect investigation?*
Registered sex offender?*
Willing to complete PA clearances (State Police, Child Abuse, FBI fingerprint)?*

We'll walk you through the process. Fees reimbursed after 60 days of employment.

Do you already have active PA clearances from another role?

Clearances are valid for 5 years and may transfer. If yes, we'll save time and cost on both sides.

References

Doesn't have to be professional. A teacher, a coach, a past employer, someone whose kids you've sat for. We contact references before offering the job.

Last thing

Also hiring — Junior Playguide (weekend parties).

Responsible teens 16+ — Saturdays mostly, occasional Sundays. 2–4 hour shifts helping run birthday parties. Great first real job.
