More Than a Program—
A Space to Play, Connect & Grow
The idea for The Clubhouse began with a simple but powerful realization: there’s a gap between what exists for—and what’s truly needed.
As parents, educators, and coaches, we’ve seen how deeply children benefit when learning is rooted in real-life experiences—not just lessons, but moments. Kids thrive when given the chance to practice skills like problem-solving, empathy, and teamwork in environments that feel playful, safe, and real. That’s why we imagined something more than a traditional program: a warm, welcoming space where children could learn, grow, and build meaningful relationships through play and guided experiences.
Our vision started there—but it didn’t stop.
The more we developed The Clubhouse, the more we realized:
Everyone deserves a space to connect, grow, and feel supported.
While our programs are built around the unique social, emotional, and developmental needs of infants through teens, we also know that parents and caregivers need support too. That’s why The Clubhouse creates opportunities not just for children, but for entire families.
Grown-ups thrive in community, too.
We believe learning and connection shouldn’t end in childhood. Whether it’s a creative workshop, a speaker pop-up, or a cozy coffee-and-crafts gathering, we’re creating space for adults to slow down, explore, and enjoy meaningful time together—often right alongside their children.
From babies just beginning to engage with the world, to high schoolers preparing for the future, The Clubhouse supports the full journey of emotional and social development:
- The infant engaging in sensory-rich play
- The preschooler building confidence through transitions and early friendships
- The elementary student practicing self-regulation, flexibility, and connection
- The tween developing self-awareness and navigating peer dynamics
- The teen building leadership, resilience, and real-life readiness
- And the parent—seeking connection, community, and a village that truly gets it
Our space is semi-structured and intentionally designed. Sessions are led by professionals with backgrounds in education, psychology, and child development—but the magic happens in the moments of play, curiosity, and shared experience.
There’s no one-size-fits-all here—just a belief that joy, confidence, and meaningful growth happen when people feel welcome and seen.
The Clubhouse isn’t just another activity.
It’s an open invitation to connect, grow, and be part of something real.
✨ The Dreamers Behind the Doors ✨
Nicole is a bilingual (Spanish/English) special education teacher, mom of four, and current school psychology graduate student with over 13 years of experience working with kids and families. Through her time in schools and her own parenting journey, she noticed something missing in many programs—a space where kids can grow through simple, meaningful play.
As parents, we’re always looking for ways to help our kids grow into confident, capable people. Sports, clubs, and lessons all have their place—but what if kids could build those same skills in a different way? Not through structured performance or pressure, but through small group experiences designed to nurture social growth, confidence, and connection.
That vision inspired Nicole and her husband Alex to create The Clubhouse Wellness Center—a place where kids can explore everything from board games and STEM challenges to creative play and obstacle courses. But more than the activities, it’s about offering a low-pressure, high-support environment where kids can problem-solve, collaborate, and build real friendships.
In today’s fast-paced world, technology makes it easy to connect—but nothing compares to the power of face-to-face interaction. The Clubhouse was built on the belief that kids grow best when they’re seen, supported, and given space to play and learn together.
For Nicole, The Clubhouse is more than a project—it’s a reflection of her heart for childhood and community. Every detail was designed with intention, care, and a deep understanding of what kids and families truly need to thrive.
Alex is a dad of four and a longtime youth coach who’s spent years helping kids build confidence, learn teamwork, and grow as leaders—on and off the field. He believes sports and play are some of the best ways to teach life lessons that truly stick.
He’s deeply involved in the local sports community, from recreational and travel soccer to ice hockey. Alex is an active member on boards for various local sports programs, combining his love for coaching with a strong commitment to building positive experiences for kids and families.
While his professional background is in construction and utilities, coaching has always been his passion. Known as “Coach Alex” to many local kids, he brings energy, structure, and steady encouragement wherever he goes. He’s all about showing up, leading by example, and helping kids feel proud of themselves.
As co-founder of The Clubhouse Wellness Center, Alex helps create a space where kids can be active, supported, and feel like they’re part of something special. Whether they’re here to play, build confidence, or just be themselves—he’s here for it.
